An Intimate Reading with Federico Erebia & Jaime Cortez

Pedro & Daniel is Federico Erebia’s debut novel is a striking coming-of-age story of two Mexican-American brothers growing up in 1970s Ohio.

Jaime Cortez’s novel, Gordo, is a humorous, heartwarming, and heartbreaking debut story collection, based on his own real-life experiences, gives voice to a community of migrant farm workers in the West, and in the process broadens the scope of American literature.

In June, iconic Bay Area performer Paula West live-streamed from Saint Joseph’s alongside Adam Shulman on piano, Aaron Germain on bass, Greg Wyser-Pratte on drums, and Scott Sorkin on guitar. The proceeds from the concert went directly to local musicians who were struggling during the pandemic.
